Site Reliability Engineer for AI Platform

Our team works closely with multiple Indeed teams to drive the adoption of modern reliability practices, such as Service Level Objectives (SLOs), error budget policies, actionable alerts, follow-the-sun on-call, incident retrospectives, chaos testing, and end-to-end ownership.

This role focuses on Indeed's AI Platform, where we fine-tune LLM models, build ML models, and serve them using Indeed platform and 3rd-party services. As a Site Reliability Engineer working with Indeed's AI Platform teams, you will be an integral part of ensuring the platform is built to be highly scalable, resilient, and maintainable.

  • Design, develop, ship, and motivate the creation of scalable software and systems to increase product reliability and organizational efficiency.
  • Guide reliability practices through the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Maintain service health through monitoring, follow-the-sun incident response, and promoting stability best practices to platform users.
  • Improve service reliability through blameless post-incident reviews and using code to prevent or respond to problem recurrence.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to balance cloud cost optimization with delivering a high degree of system reliability.
Earnings

The estimated salary range for this position is $**150,000 - $200,000 per annum**, depending on your experience and qualifications.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, with 2+ years of software development experience, including experience writing code in Python, Node.js, Java, Go, or a similar language, and proficiency with cloud platforms and tools, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) AI services.
