Job SummaryWe are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to our geriatric patients. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to assess, educate, and support patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence
- Assume a leadership role in the geriatric inpatient unit, mentoring and supporting junior staff members
- Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent geriatric psychiatry experience
- Bilingualism in French/English an asset
