Earthworks Finish Dozer Operator

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Dozer Operator to join our team at CKB Construction. As a key member of our field operations, you will be responsible for providing support on various projects, including road building, stripping, grading, and finish work.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain the dozer in a safe and efficient manner, performing minor maintenance and inspections as needed.
Regulate the height and angle of the blade using the dozer controls, driving the machine in passes over surfaces to raise or lower terrain as specified by the superintendent.
Follow marks on grade stakes or hand signals, leveling soil, rock, and debris, and demonstrating a clear understanding of roadway plans, drawings, and grades.
Collaborate with others to complete tasks, performing other related duties as required.
Requirements
Minimum 3-5 seasons of experience with sloping and leveling (finish work), and 5 seasons as a finish dozer operator.
Experience operating on commercial and industrial projects is an asset, as is gradesman experience.
Valid CSTS-09, WHMIS 2015, Ground Disturbance, and CSA-approved 6" steel toe work boots are required.
A hard working attitude, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are essential, as is the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Working Conditions
Operators will work outside in all weather conditions, spending long periods of time sitting in their vehicle or walking/standing on the job site.
They must be willing to commit to 50+ hours per week at various project locations, including working most Saturdays, with typical shifts from 7:00am to 5:30pm.
