We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Oncologist to join our team at BC Cancer - Vancouver Cancer Centre.
About the Role:This is a locum position available for a minimum of 1 year, starting mid-2024. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a provincial Radiation Therapy program, committed to clinical excellence through evidence-based standardized care and knowledge generation.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical care to patients with various types of cancer, including breast, lung, lymphoma, skin, GU, and CNS malignancies.
- Participate in research, administrative, and educational activities.
- Collaborate with a team of radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Eligibility for licensure in British Columbia.
- Fellowship in Radiation Oncology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent qualification.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada.
- Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting Indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism.
