Job Title: Radiation Oncologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Oncologist to join our team at BC Cancer - Vancouver Cancer Centre.

About the Role:

This is a locum position available for a minimum of 1 year, starting mid-2024. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a provincial Radiation Therapy program, committed to clinical excellence through evidence-based standardized care and knowledge generation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical care to patients with various types of cancer, including breast, lung, lymphoma, skin, GU, and CNS malignancies.
  • Participate in research, administrative, and educational activities.
  • Collaborate with a team of radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Eligibility for licensure in British Columbia.
  • Fellowship in Radiation Oncology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent qualification.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada.
  • Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting Indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism.
