Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Infrastructure Specialist to join our IT team. This role is pivotal in providing advanced support for our managed services, overseeing the infrastructure (servers, networks, phone systems, and cloud infrastructure including Office 365), and ensuring the seamless operation of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 3 support for our Managed Services, troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring high levels of system performance and reliability.
  • Administer, manage, and optimize infrastructure components including servers, networks, and cloud environments (Azure and Office 365).
  • Plan and execute IT projects, including system enhancements and migrations, with a focus on cloud environments.
  • Manage and maintain AD, ADDS, DNS, DHCP, File Servers, Hypervisors, and Failover Clusters.
  • Perform proactive system maintenance, security reviews, audits, upgrades, and optimization to ensure system integrity and security.
  • Design and implement hardware and software policies and processes, establishing secure practices and machine best practices.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to create a platform roadmap and define priorities.
  • Participate in afterhours on-call support rotation.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a post-secondary program in IT or a similar discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
  • At least 5 years of related experience in System and Network Administration roles.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office 365 and comprehensive knowledge of Azure Active Directory.
  • Strong understanding of clustered and virtual storage solutions, and Hypervisor troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in managing physical Hypervisor hosts, Windows Physical servers, and maintaining server architecture security as well as Backups.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking, including routers, switches, firewalls, LAN, WAN, VPN, network security systems, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Experience with Intune, Defender, Exchange, and other Microsoft applications.
  • Possessing strong collaboration and communication skills, this role requires working in a team environment that involves teaching, collaborating with, and assisting other technicians of various skill levels.

Benefits and Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 per year, reflecting the local currency of CAD in Canada. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, life insurance, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Paid Time Off, holidays, disability, and retirement benefits.
