About the Role

You will partner with the business and other stakeholders to ensure operational objectives are met. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Championing the People Strategy and Strategic Plan for Human Resources in support of the business.
  • Ensuring all HR cycles are followed and adhered to, executing key milestones such as compensation, annual leadership review, engagement employee survey, and skills development.
  • Participating in ongoing HR initiatives and projects to enhance HR services to the business, including workforce planning.
  • Translating current and future business needs into an integrated strategic HR plan delivering measurable results.
  • Managing daily HR transactions and providing support, advice, and counsel to Directors and their direct reports.
  • Collaborating with management regarding communication of departmental objectives, development, and implementation of policies and initiatives.
  • Planning, leading, developing, coordinating, and implementing policies, processes, initiatives, and surveys to support human resource compliance and strategy needs.
Labor Relations Responsibilities

You will manage complex employee and labor relations issues, conduct investigations, interpret collective agreements, and provide coaching to leaders. You will maintain knowledge of multiple business units' operations and implement labor relations processes.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • At least ten years of experience managing multiple functions within HR in a manufacturing environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Proven experience working in a labor environment with a union-represented employee population.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to adjust communication to suit different audiences.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills to effectively work with various individuals and departments.
  • The ability to engage with stakeholders using persuasive communication and negotiation skills.
  • A strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • High organizational skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies.
Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
