Job Title: Technical Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Advisor to join our team in Industry Services. As a Technical Advisor, you will provide critical insights on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs and collaborate on major projects with top scientific experts from various federal and provincial departments, as well as international organizations.

About the Role

This is a full-time indeterminate position that requires a strong background in biology, biochemistry, agriculture, or a related field. The successful candidate will have recent experience with auditing quality management systems, HACCP or other food safety programs, and reviewing and updating related standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise on HACCP programs and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure food safety programs are current and meet client needs.
  • Deliver food safety training programs internally and externally to clients.
  • Develop and implement food safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with federal and provincial agencies, producers, and grain industry stakeholders to ensure food safety programs are effective.
Requirements
  • Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with specialization in biology, biochemistry, agriculture, or a related field.
  • Recent experience with auditing quality management systems, HACCP or other food safety programs, and reviewing and updating related standards and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders.
