About the Role

Vern's Pizza is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Attendant to join our team. As a Food Service Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
    • Portion and wrap foods according to menu specifications.
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Food Handling and Storage
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Keep records of the quantities of food used to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance
    • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Scour pots and pans to ensure they are clean and sanitized.
  • Customer Service
    • Take customers' orders and respond to their inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs as needed.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure seamless service and efficient operations.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to address any concerns or issues.
    Requirements
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Will train.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
    Working Conditions
    • 40 hours per week.
    • Permanent position.
    • Work Language: English.
