At Right at home, we are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and maintaining general ledgers and financial statements.


The ideal candidate will have a college education, 1-2 years of experience in finance, and excellent interpersonal skills. They will be organized, reliable, and able to work independently. The role will involve working with manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, preparing tax returns, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
