Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Multi-Skilled Caregiver to join our team at Golden Life Management Corporation. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional support services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe and homelike environment for residents by performing various custodial tasks, including cleaning and maintaining common areas.
  • Organize and participate in resident entertainment and social activities, promoting a sense of community and engagement.
  • Answer phone calls in a courteous manner, record and distribute messages accurately, and handle emergency situations with professionalism.
  • Assist with recreational activities, particularly on weekends and holidays, to ensure residents have access to a range of engaging experiences.
  • Report any building deficiencies or concerns to the Community Manager, ensuring the well-being and safety of residents.
  • Perform daily tidying of the outside seating area, including vacuuming and dusting common areas, and cleaning common area bathrooms.
  • Conduct general cleaning of resident private rooms or suites, maintaining high standards of sanitation and hygiene.
  • Provide laundry services to the quality standards of the village, working closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor and Community Manager.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order, assist with inventory management, and perform regular laundry duties to support the day-to-day operations of the building.
  • Prepare for meals, setting tables with accessories, filling water jugs, and serving meals, clearing, washing, and sanitizing dishes, tables, and chairs.
Requirements
  • CPR certification is an asset.
  • FoodSafe certificate is preferred.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector - Criminal Record Check is required.
  • Immunization record is necessary.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
  • At least one year of experience enhancing the lives of seniors, preferably in a community setting.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Respect and promote the dignity, choices, and individuality of each resident, recognizing their unique cultural, spiritual, and psychological needs.
