Heavy Duty Mechanic I

Stock Transportation is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues with our fleet of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in vehicle systems, including electrical, cooling, lubricating, braking, and drive train systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
- Test-drive vehicles to ensure repairs are completed to a high standard.
- Arrange for and obtain approval for major repairs before releasing vehicles from the maintenance facility.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all relevant Federal, State, and local guidelines.
- Identify and report any additional maintenance or repairs required.
- Record time spent, parts used, and repairs conducted on the appropriate form.
- Advises Lead Technician of unsafe maintenance conditions or practices.
- Certified technician with a 310T or 310S certification.
- Minimum 3 years of fleet maintenance experience, with a focus on heavy-duty diesel engines.
- Hands-on experience with computerized diagnostics and general shop computer knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
