Canadian Plains is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team for a project based in Battleford. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for various industrial production and processing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete field measurements and provide drawings to welders for pipe fabrication and installation.
- Read, interpret, and red-line construction drawings and blueprints, including Isometrics and P&IDs.
- Assemble piping and valves, ensuring proper connections and fittings.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members.
- Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility.
- Measure, cut, and thread pipe to required specifications.
- Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Remove and replace worn components, and reactivate systems as needed.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyperson Pipefitter ticket issued by the appropriate provincial or federal authority.
- Valid H2S Alive and Standard First Aid tickets.
- Valid, non-graduated driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand drawings and blueprints.
