Pipefitter Specialist

At Canadian Plains, we are seeking a skilled Pipefitter Specialist to join our team. As a Pipefitter Specialist, you will be responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for various industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete field measurements and provide drawings to welders
- Read, interpret, and red-line construction drawings and blueprints
- Assemble piping and valves
- Mentor and provide guidance for junior staff
- Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility
- Measure, cut, and thread pipe to required shape
- Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Journeyperson Pipefitter ticket issued by the appropriate provincial or federal authority
- Must possess valid H2S Alive and Standard First Aid tickets
- Must possess a valid, non-graduated driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and understand drawings and blueprints
