Job Description:

As an Emergency Response Coordinator, you will play a critical role in coordinating emergency response efforts by communicating with emergency personnel and relaying vital information during crises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Prioritizing Emergency Calls: You will receive and prioritize emergency calls for assistance, ensuring timely responses to critical situations.
  • Dispatching Emergency Services: You will dispatch emergency services to appropriate locations, utilizing your knowledge of local geography and emergency protocols.
  • Maintaining Communication: You will maintain open communication with first responders during incidents, providing critical updates and information.
  • Documenting Call Details: You will accurately document call details and response times, ensuring thorough record-keeping and efficient incident management.
  • Monitoring Emergency Units: You will monitor the status of emergency units in the field, ensuring effective coordination and response.
Requirements:
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; further training in emergency dispatching is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong multitasking and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: You must be able to work effectively in high-pressure environments, maintaining composure and focus during critical situations.
  • Knowledge of Emergency Protocols: Familiarity with emergency protocols and local geography is necessary for efficient response and coordination.
