Event Security Supervisor Position

At Securiguard, we are seeking a skilled Event Security Supervisor to join our team in Penticton, BC. As a key member of our events security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of attendees, staff, and property at various events.

A typical shift for this role includes monitoring entrances and exits, checking tickets or credentials, and patrolling the premises to deter any potential disruptions or unauthorized activities. You will maintain a safe environment for patrons and staff by responding to emergencies, such as medical incidents or disturbances, and implementing appropriate protocols as needed.

To be successful in this position, you will need to have a valid security workers license or be able to obtain one. You should also have a Class 5 Drivers License, experience dealing with Low-Risk Facilities (LFIs), and good stress management skills. Additionally, you must be able to communicate effectively with clients and have outstanding organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and security of attendees, staff, and property at events
  • Monitor entrances and exits, check tickets or credentials, and patrol the premises
  • Respond to emergencies, such as medical incidents or disturbances
  • Implement appropriate protocols and coordinate with law enforcement or medical personnel as needed
  • Assist with crowd control, provide directions or assistance to attendees, and report any suspicious behavior or incidents to supervisors

Requirements:

  • Valid security workers license or ability to obtain
  • Class 5 Drivers License
  • Experience dealing with LFIs
  • Good stress management skills
  • Effective communication with clients
  • Outstanding organizational skills
