We are seeking an experienced Utilities Designer/Coordinator to join our team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering complex infrastructure projects that connect and protect communities around the world.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical review and assistance in the coordination of temporary or permanent relocations/installations of utilities, including natural gas, electricity, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and cable television.
  • Participate in negotiations with Utility Asset Owners for relocating/installing utilities affected/required by capital, operations, and expansion projects construction.
  • Develop contractual strategies to facilitate utility relocations and/or the integration of utility work into construction contracts.
  • Assist in the technical review of project designs with respect to utility-related issues to ensure compliance with Utility Asset Owner and/or Utility Authority design criteria and applicable specifications and standards.
  • Advises project staff of what issues require resolution within the construction contracts to ensure full coordination and compliance with standing agreements and/or standards with Utility Asset Owners.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline (civil engineering specializing in municipal services), and extensive, relevant engineering design/construction experience in a multidisciplinary design environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply advanced engineering techniques and analyses.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including Utility Asset Owners, project staff, and construction teams.
  • Proficiency in office technology, software, and applications, including CAE/CAD applications.
