Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary team at WCB Alberta. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing psychological services to injured workers suffering from traumatic and/or cumulative psychological injuries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver psychological services as part of an interdisciplinary team, primarily focused on injured workers suffering from traumatic and/or cumulative psychological injuries.
  • Complete psychological screens and treatment to enhance our clients' abilities to return to work.
  • Facilitate psychology groups and conduct relaxation training classes to reduce the impact of disability-related issues.
  • Mentor undergraduate psychology interns and supervise psychology residents.
  • Assist with program development as required.
  • Collaborate with psychology peers to ensure best practice as required.
  • Ability to work a 0.6 FPE during business hours.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Ph.D. in Psychology.
  • Active registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
  • Completion of an internship from a Canadian Psychological Association accredited facility or equivalent.
  • Experience in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting involving the assessment and treatment of a variety of disorders and experience providing psychological services and experience in the treatment of clients with trauma is required.
  • Training and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy is an asset.
