About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Water Treatment Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality and sustainable solutions to our clients.
Responsibilities- Lead small to large-sized teams and projects with a focus on water, waste, and energy management
- Undertake detailed data characterization and analysis, including water/wastewater chemistry analysis and chemical modeling
- Develop and oversee front-end feasibility, preliminary, and detailed engineering design in various technical contexts
- Coordinate construction management and system optimization to meet clients' requirements
- Foster critical relationships with clients, technical and non-technical staff, government representatives, and technology suppliers
- Supervise junior technical and field staff, providing guidance and mentorship
- Design and retrofit water/wastewater systems and facilities for industrial and municipal water treatment
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as water/wastewater treatment, aqueous chemistry, process engineering, or mechanical engineering
- 10+ years of applicable process engineering experience in North American industrial water treatment, oil and gas, mining, or other process industries
- Registration with APEGA and/or EGBC; experience and/or registration with U.S bodies is considered an asset
- Excellent English communication skills, with experience in preparing and reviewing technical reports
- Proven leadership and communication skills, with business development and client communication skills
