Job Summary
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Embedded Software Engineering Manager to oversee the development of complex design and customization programs, aligning with organizational objectives. This role involves planning, managing, and coordinating resources, processes, and tools to deliver software releases for Delta-Q products. The successful candidate will also contribute to defining the product roadmap and technical direction to achieve long-term vision and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive embedded software strategies to meet corporate goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage high-performing teams of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and growth.
- Collaborate with Product & Program Management and other engineering teams to review product functional requirements and development schedules.
- Ensure detailed software specifications are developed and tracked according to project plans, resource assignments, and schedules.
- Implement improvements in software development methodology, tools, and best practices to ensure optimal alignment with corporate and end-customer requirements.
- Perform effective talent management, participating in all employee development activities including recruitment, retention, and performance management.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to staff to ensure employees meet job responsibilities and objectives.
- Effectively communicate company and department vision, objectives, project status, and plans both internally and externally as required.
- Ensure the team operates following all applicable safety procedures and guidelines.
- Interface with other ZAPI Group partner companies to collaborate on processes, tools, and developments.
Requirements
- Relevant education in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, combined with a minimum of 10 years experience in design, development, and release cycles for embedded software systems.
- Proven experience successfully developing and executing an embedded software strategy while managing and directing embedded software teams.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills with the ability to engage and inspire team members in achieving departmental and corporate objectives.
- Detailed understanding and extensive experience in requirements management, SFMEA, change control, configuration management, and traceability.
- Understanding of and experience with agile project management and development techniques applied to an embedded development environment.
- Previous experience with the V-Cycle development model.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead and run departmental or project meetings, write status reports, and present to executive staff and customers.
- Experience with software development for Power Electronics and Automotive environments.
- Experience with the use of CANbus for vehicle networking.
- Proven track record in the integration of software within hardware and/or system delivered within an overall program framework.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills combined with the ability to think strategically in implementing embedded software systems to meet present and future business opportunities.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $144,000 - $175,000 per year, plus a bonus program. Additional benefits include:
