We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Stockperson/Cartpusher to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and efficient shopping environment for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and return shopping carts from the cart corrals, parking lot, and store perimeter to a safe storage location, ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Respond promptly to customer requests at all registers, safely assisting with carry outs or carry ins, and verifying receipts for proof of purchase.
- Perform occasional cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, handling chemicals, and following correct disposal procedures, as well as using power equipment and completing inspection reports.
- Adhere to safety and emergency procedures, ensuring guidelines are followed properly for hazardous communications, lockout/tagout, and blood-borne pathogens.
- Maintain the Cart Retrieval Log at the Customer Service Desk.
- Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by adhering to Company policy and procedures.
- Promote safety by wearing personal protective equipment, including steel toe footwear and a reflective vest during cart collection for visibility.
- Complete safety sweeps as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong commitment to customer service and a keen eye for detail. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift and move carts as needed.
The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $17.55 per hour, with the rate determined based on relevant experience.
