Restaurant Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Just jerk Caribbean restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service establishment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient scheduling systems to ensure that our staff are adequately trained and prepared to meet the demands of our busy restaurant.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Staff: Oversee the daily activities of our kitchen and front-of-house staff, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.
  • Train Staff in Job Duties, Sanitation, and Safety Procedures: Provide comprehensive training to our staff on all aspects of their roles, including food preparation, customer service, and health and safety procedures.
  • Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required for Meal Preparation: Work closely with our purchasing team to ensure that we have adequate supplies of ingredients and materials to meet the demands of our menu.
  • Ensure that Food and Service Meet Quality Control Standards: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that our food and service meet the highest standards, and take corrective action as needed to address any issues.
  • Address Customers' Complaints or Concerns: Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly and professionally to any customer complaints or concerns.
Work Environment:

Our restaurant is a fast-paced environment where you will be required to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. You will be standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling, and will be required to work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
  • Work Setting: Food service establishment
  • Supervision: 1 to 2 people
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, physically demanding, attention to detail
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player, initiative, dependability
