Fleetex Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. You will diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required. Your duties will also include ordering parts and maintaining inventory, adjusting equipment, and repairing or replacing defective parts. You will be responsible for keeping maintenance reports and documentation, testing repaired equipment for proper performance, and ensuring that work meets manufacturers' specifications. You will also be required to attach components and adjust new farm equipment, clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work, and perform repair work on heavy trucks. You will service attachments and working tools, verify and repair emission control systems, and perform other routine maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field. You will be physically demanding, with attention to detail, and will be required to bend, crouch, kneel, and handle heavy loads. You will also be required to stand for extended periods and have excellent oral communication skills. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English. The hours of work are 40 hours per week.
