About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at Anchor. As a key member of our catering services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our kitchens.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputise for the Chef Manager and manage all aspects of catering services, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train catering assistants to ensure they meet the highest standards of food safety and quality.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and health and safety procedures, including COSHH and food safety standards.
  • Minimise waste and ensure efficient use of kitchen equipment.

Requirements

  • Intermediate or level 3 food hygiene certificate with Cater Craft or similar award.
  • Health and safety legislation knowledge, including COSHH and food safety standards.
  • Proven experience in chef and people management.
  • Basic knowledge of dietary requirements for older people.
  • Safe use of kitchen equipment, including knives.

Desirable Skills

  • Able to negotiate, influence, and prioritise activities.
  • Flexible, innovative, and able to work as part of a team and individually.
