Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Optician to join our team at LensCrafters in Mississauga, ON. As a Licensed Optician, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing expert advice on eyewear and vision care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and serve customers with a smile, setting expectations and ensuring a positive experience
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, demonstrating attention to detail and quality
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen, staying up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies
  • Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear, ensuring finished products meet standards and customer needs
  • Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing expert guidance and support
  • Utilize technology effectively, managing time pressure and customer volume while maintaining exceptional product knowledge and tool usage
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and exceeding expectations
  • Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities, striving for exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized store appearance, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • State Licensure
  • Optical dispensing experience
  • Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and team building
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise and awareness of current fashion trends
  • Strong basic math skills and familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators
  • Embracing new technology and change
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous customer service and retail experience
