Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to join our Highway De-icing Department in Mississauga, ON. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for soliciting, processing, and submitting governmental bids and commercial quotations within an assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze bid requests from government agencies, determine profitability for each proposal, develop pricing strategies, and present recommendations to management.
  • Analyze market data and trends to identify growth and price improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain two-way communication to ensure good working relationships with customers.
  • Process customer orders, investigate and resolve customer issues.
  • Develop project plans, coordinate projects, communicate changes and progress, and complete projects on time and budget.
  • Ensure accuracy of bid and customer information in bid database.
  • Follow-up with prospective customer leads obtained from trade shows, referrals, call-ins, and other sources to grow de-icing sales in assigned territory.
  • Lead and/or participate in special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, or Marketing preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to take direction and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to retain confidentiality and security of sensitive information and use discretion at all times.
  • Proficiency in managing diverse projects, activities, and responsibilities concurrently.
