Magellan Aerospace, a global aerospace leader, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Internal Auditor to join its team as a co-op student for the Winter Term.

About the Role:

This exciting opportunity involves assisting in audit planning and execution, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. The successful candidate will provide valuable insights and recommendations for process improvements.

  • Develop comprehensive audit plans and programs, tailoring them to address stakeholder concerns.
  • Collaborate with management to implement improvements in audit procedures and develop effective auditing tools.
  • Conduct detailed audits, including interviews, observations, and analytical procedures, to evaluate internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare thorough documentation of audit procedures and summarize findings in working papers.
  • Develop practical recommendations to address audit issues, considering client business objectives.
  • Assist in special projects and contribute to the development of presentations on audit and risk-related matters.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Co-op student currently enrolled in a university or college degree program in accounting or a related field.
  • Prior co-op experience in accounting/finance preferred; external or internal audit experience an asset.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, computer systems, and risk control principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and possessing solid organizational and time-management skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000. This figure is based on industry standards and the company's expectations for this role.
