About the Role:

GardaWorld is seeking a highly skilled and reliable Transportation Security Guard to join our team in Regina. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of individuals, luggage, and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and verify the mechanical condition of fleet vehicles.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip searches of fleet vehicles to ensure security and compliance with regulations.
  • Complete post-trip cleaning and sanitization of fleet vehicles.
  • Search individuals and their luggage to ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Log individuals' valuables and transport them safely.
  • Escort individuals, luggage, and personal effects between vehicles and destinations.
  • Ensure the control and safety custody of individuals during transport.
  • Adhere to child vehicle safety procedures and laws.
  • Pick up or drop off individuals between vehicles and destinations.
  • Escort individuals and their luggage through airports and other secure facilities.
  • Confirm departure of individuals as part of departure verification procedures.
  • Complete paperwork and submit reports to the Shift Supervisor and CBSA.
  • Transfer individuals' property and inform satellite offices of arrivals.
  • Complete incident reports of accidents or damage to vehicles.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English, spoken and written.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and people skills.
  • Previous experience in the security industry.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Flexible availability for day shifts.
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment.
  • Ability to stand on foot and walk for long periods.

Certifications and Clearances:

  • Able to pass a CBSA Enhanced Reliability.
  • Contract Security Program (CSP) Reliability Status.
  • Clean Vulnerable Sector Check Criminal background check.
  • Saskatchewan Security Guard Training Certificate.
  • Full Class 5 Drivers license with clean drivers abstract.
  • First Aid and AED.
  • Must be able to obtain a Transportation Canada Security Clearance (RAIC).
  • Over 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Residence for reliability clearance.
