We are seeking a highly skilled Security Attendant to join our team at Senior Persons Living Connected. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients, staff, contractors, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of the Terrace front desk, including responding to Emergency Response System alarms.
- Perform patrolling duties and maintain the safety and security system of the entire complex.
- Conduct daily inspection rounds of buildings and premises according to procedure.
- Perform fire safety checks and report incidents to the Superintendent.
- Ensure the safety and security of clients and respond to emergency situations as required.
- Working experience in a community or housing setting or similar security setting.
- Experience working with seniors is an asset.
- Knowledge of standard security procedures and de-escalation techniques.
- Ability to read and write reports and logs and basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations to solve problems.
- Knowledge and sensitivity to work in a culturally diverse environment.
- Professional manner, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Security Guard license required.
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certificate.
- Vulnerable Sector screening required.
- Required to work a rotational 24-hour schedule, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work 12am to 8am is required.
- Additional hours required for emergency situations.
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or Medical Exemption certificate required.
