About the Opportunity

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer plays a critical role in the Diagnostic Imaging Department, reporting directly to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging. As part of the team, you will perform patient care, technical activities, and duties essential to the department's overall functioning.

Routine and specialized ultrasound procedures are performed to ensure proper application of ultrasound techniques and procedures. Travel to other sites may be required.

About You

We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with the following qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
  • Sonography Canada certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Comprehension of technical language to review manuals and participate in relevant discussions
  • Previous experience is an asset
  • Registration with more than one ultrasound credential is an asset
  • Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset

Compensation and Benefits

$34.24-$39.96 hourly
