Job Title: Metal Fabrication Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Assistant to join our team at Platinum Railing Awning & Metal Works Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist our metal fabrication team in the production of high-quality metal products. This includes operating metal cleaning equipment, immersing metal products in cleaning solutions, and assisting structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, and metal machine operators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal surfaces.
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, and metal machine operators in the fabrication process.
  • Sort and organize metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
  • Clean machines and work areas to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Load and unload vehicles as required.
  • Polish metal products to a mirror finish.
  • Read and interpret work orders to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
Requirements:
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment with a 35 to 40 hour workweek.
  • English language proficiency.
