Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Concrete Finishing Specialist to join our team at the WINDMILL GROUP CORPORATION. This is a permanent, full-time position offering an estimated salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year.

About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will work on various concrete finishing projects, including filling hollows and removing spots on freshly poured cement, preparing tenders and quotations, and operating power vibrators to compact concrete.
  • They will also be responsible for leveling top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification, working at heights on scaffolding or swing stages, and imparting desired finishes to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • In addition, the Concrete Finishing Specialist will instruct apprentices, install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures, apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces, and waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces.
  • Other tasks include repairing, resurfacing, and replacing worn or damaged sections of concrete structures, estimating costs and materials, and reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in concrete finishing, preferably in a commercial, industrial, institutional, prefab/shop fabrication, residential, roads and bridges, sewers and water mains, or sidewalks and curbs setting.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete finishing techniques, materials, and equipment, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to work at heights, lift heavy loads, and stand for extended periods is essential.
  • Additionally, the candidate should possess a high level of attention to detail, physical stamina, and accuracy.
