Position Summary

Humber River Health is seeking a dedicated Clerical Support Associate to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional clerical support, ensuring seamless patient registration and discharge, maintenance of patient records, and order entry.

Responsibilities
  • Provide top-notch customer service, scheduling appointments, and answering patient inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with bed allocation and other departments to ensure efficient patient placement.
  • Collaborate with other departments and service areas to meet patient needs.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Community College Medical Secretary Diploma an asset.
  • Medical terminology course completion preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year full-time equivalent recent clerical experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Recent Emergency registration experience preferred, including EDM.
  • Strong keyboarding skills, with a minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.
  • Excellent computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize a varied and busy workload.
