About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance and Engineering Manager to join our Plant Leadership Team at Saint-Gobain Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance and engineering department, ensuring safe working conditions, and driving business continuity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve plant reliability, reduce downtime, and increase productivity.
  • Manage the maintenance and engineering budget, ensuring effective cost control and capital investment.
  • Lead and motivate a team of engineers and technicians to achieve plant objectives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement business strategies, including safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement a structured approach to maintenance, leveraging opportunities to improve plant reliability.
  • Own and manage plant reliability KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support other continuous improvement activities and lead PM and EEM Pillars.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • 3-8 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, with a proven track record of leading people and driving business results.
  • Effective team builder with demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven history of directing and coordinating business direction, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate all levels of personnel, with a focus on employee development and engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Sound understanding of business and engineering concepts, with a focus on manufacturing and operations.
  • Sound understanding of analytical and financial issues, costs, and budgets, with a focus on business acumen.
  • Creating and communicating long-term, strategic goals, with a focus on business growth and development.
  • Experience in leading sustainable cultural change, with a focus on employee engagement and development.
