Truck and Coach Technician Position

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Coach Technician to join our team at Brandt.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks, trailers, buses, and coaches in a shop environment
  • Evaluate the working condition of vehicles and identify areas for improvement
  • Use related instruments, hand/power tools, and computer systems to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Document all machine information, actions taken, and time spent on work orders
  • Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards
  • Use computer applications to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Proven computer and technical aptitude for diagnostics and calibration work
  • Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs
  • Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure
  • Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation for customer needs
  • A commitment to high-quality customer service

Required Experience:

  • Previous mechanical experience in a truck and coach environment is required
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Coach technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred
  • Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset
