Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Assistant to join our team at CKS Carpet and Flooring Ltd. The successful candidate will assist skilled tradespersons with flooring installation tasks, including mixing, pouring, and spreading materials, as well as cleaning and piling salvaged materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Assist skilled tradespersons
  • Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings

Work Environment: The successful candidate will work in a noisy and dusty environment, with varying locations. The position requires physical demands, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements:

  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Will train on the job
  • Physically demanding
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling
