Audiovisual and Facilities Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audiovisual and facilities operations, with experience in event planning and execution. This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Toronto office, including reception coverage, office maintenance, and mail services. The successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating events, meetings, and hospitality tours, as well as maintaining audiovisual equipment and systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee audiovisual and facilities operations, including reception coverage and office maintenance
  • Coordinate events, meetings, and hospitality tours
  • Maintain audiovisual equipment and systems
  • Assist with the onboarding and offboarding process for employees and contractors
  • Coordinate with vendors and building management on building access and services
  • Assist with executive meetings, including room setup and supplies

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years of college education with 2-4 years of corporate workplace/event experience
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work as a team player
  • Computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and participate in facilities operations activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attentive to details and critical-thinking skills
  • Skilled, calm, and composed in a client-facing role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college
  • Hospitality experience
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in the entertainment industry
  • Experience in facilities operations
  • 2-3 Years A/V Technician experience working in a professional environment
  • Understanding of A/V signal flow and knowledge of audio consoles and video racks
