Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Specialist - Equipment Repair and Installation to join our successful team. This key role will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, installation, and more for all equipment and infrastructure, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all machinery, equipment, and infrastructure within the Harbourside Organix facility.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Maintenance and Repair: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Equipment Inspection: Inspect and examine machinery and heavy equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Part Fabrication and Replacement: Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts, and fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup of machinery.
  • Scheduled and Emergency Maintenance: Perform scheduled, emergency, and preventative maintenance, as well as general repairs, overhauls, installs, dismantles, and other tasks as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess a 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) license/certification or equivalent. Additionally, you should have 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with proven experience in industrial maintenance, proficiency in reading technical drawings, and expertise in manufacturing, industrial, construction, or related industries.

Benefits and Compensation

This position offers a competitive base salary of $40.43 per hour, plus bonus pay. You will also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including a starting two weeks' vacation, health and safety insurance, and participation in H&S meetings, monthly inspections, and compliance with OHSA regulations.

Working Conditions and Requirements

You will work in a fast-paced environment with occasional Saturday shifts and shared on-call responsibilities. The regular schedule is Monday – Friday, with some overtime required. Physical demands include lifting up to 30 lb., working at heights, and confined spaces.
