About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our team at Anew Centre for Healing Ltd. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to families and individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Develop and implement individualized plans to support clients in achieving their goals and improving their overall well-being.
  • Family Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to families and individuals, helping them to navigate challenging situations and build resilience.
  • Community Outreach: Establish and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and access to resources.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with colleagues and external partners to ensure a cohesive and effective service delivery model.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, Cultural Awareness Training, Medication Administration Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and Food Safety Certificate.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong problem-solving and case management skills, and a commitment to cultural competency and diversity.
