Family Lawyer Position

Position OverviewFamily Lawyer sought to manage family law files independently, handle a wide range of family law matters, and conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials.
Key Responsibilities- Manage family law files from beginning to end.
- Handle separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division.
- Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials.
- Instruct support staff and receive instructions from clients.
- Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications.
- Negotiate at mediations and appear at trials.
- Minimum 3+ years of current experience in British Columbia family law practice.
- Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently.
- Strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.
- Desire to become part of the community served.
- Enthusiasm for growing practice and working towards partnership.
- Base salary: $100,000 – $140,000, depending on the year of call and book of business. Negotiable.
