Accounting Supervisor

At 9058-7890 Quebec Inc., we are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Train and supervise a team of 5-10 accounting staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their job requirements.
- Prepare and submit regular financial reports to management, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure the smooth operation of our accounting equipment and software, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to staff members, recommending measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Co-ordinate and review work assignments, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed, arranging for maintenance and repair work when required.
- Co-ordinate activities with other work units and departments, establishing effective working relationships to achieve business objectives.
- Establish and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Access.
- Experience with ERP systems and other accounting software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- 35 hours per week.
- Permanent position.
- English language required.
