Field Technician I

Job Summary

The Field Technician I is a key member of our team, responsible for collecting client samples from oil and gas wells and facilities within their assigned region. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect samples from oil/gas wells and facilities following Core Lab standard operating procedures.
  • Respond to client concerns and requests.
  • Train to become proficient in specialized sampling.
  • Maintain field vehicle in good working order, including routine servicing, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Carry out field analysis and sampling as per "Field Services Standard Operating Procedures and Forms."
  • Conversant with analytical services provided by Core Laboratories and those required by the client.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and quality management system requirements of Core Lab and those of the clients.
  • Maintain communication with the Calgary and Edmonton laboratories. Inform supervisor of incidents with field equipment, trucks, and sampling.
  • Able to commit to overtime.

Requirements

  • College graduate or related industry experience.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Valid and clean driver's license.
