About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Art Therapist to join our team at the Red Fish Healing Centre in Coquitlam, BC. As an Art Therapist, you will work with clients who are experiencing mental health and substance use challenges, providing a safe and supportive environment for them to express themselves through art.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement art therapy programs for clients, including assessing needs and goals, creating intervention plans, and evaluating program effectiveness.
  • Provide art therapy services, including facilitating one-on-one and group programs, and workshops, to assist clients in fostering self-expression, enhancing coping skills, and managing stress.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness, using information gathered through observation and client feedback, and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Master of Arts Degree in Art Therapy from an accredited University.
  • Two years recent, related experience providing art therapy services, coaching, and group facilitation to individuals with mental illness or substance abuse issues.
  • Eligibility for Registration with the British Columbia Art Therapy Association (BCATA).
