Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Department Manager at Your Independent Grocer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the franchisee and bookkeeper in delivering exceptional customer service
  • Perform customer service, cashier, and ecommerce functions
  • Manage direct reports, delegate duties, and ensure front-end standards
  • Oversee the efficient running of the cash office, including pickups, deposits, and cash losses
  • Analyze reports to identify problems and determine solutions
  • Ensure price integrity by assisting with data management and scan log procedures
  • Support the bookkeeper with store administration functions and payroll
  • Manage potential loss through bug management and troubleshooting
  • Coordinate cashier activities and provide input into the performance management process

Requirements:

  • Open availability and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Demonstrated commitment to superior customer service
  • Strong technical knowledge of front-end operations
  • Problem-solving skills, including responding to customer complaints and inquiries
  • Issue management skills, including time management and conflict resolution
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal and written communication
