Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' needs and develop personalized intervention plans.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings, promoting their independence and participation in educational activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Educate school staff and parents on strategies to support students' occupational performance, promoting a culture of inclusivity and support.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and other school activities, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all professional activities, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working with children in a school setting, with a strong understanding of IEP processes and special education laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience with sensory integration therapy and knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with creative problem-solving skills and adaptability.
