Job Title: Associate Producer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Producer to join our team at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). As an Associate Producer, you will play a key role in the production of our news programs, working closely with producers, reporters, and other team members to deliver high-quality content to our audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of program content, including researching and writing scripts, and coordinating with producers and reporters.
  • Assist in the preparation of program objectives and contribute to the creation of engaging and informative content.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure the smooth execution of live radio programs and other productions.
  • Develop and maintain contact files, and assist in the evaluation of all aspects of the production.
  • Perform other production or administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Strong writing and editorial skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Ability to work in a multi-platform environment, with experience using social media to research and develop stories.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • University degree or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of experience in a similar position.
