Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Dishwashing: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and place them in storage areas.
  • Hand Washing and Sanitizing: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and scour pots and pans to maintain their condition.
  • Kitchen Cleaning: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Supply Handling: Handle and store cleaning products, receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Knife Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives to ensure they are in good condition.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Food Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit for use in kitchen operations.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn the skills required for the position.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
