About CLSA:
The Central Lions Seniors' Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors in Edmonton. We strive to create a welcoming community where seniors can stay active and engaged.

The Role:
CLSA is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our organization's growth and success. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will oversee daily operations, drive strategic planning, ensure financial sustainability, and foster positive relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the Board's strategic planning, ensuring operational alignment with the organization's goals.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of programs to meet seniors' needs in Edmonton.
  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies, including grants, donations, and sponsorships.
  • Cultivate a positive organizational culture, providing mentorship to staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and manage organizational risk.
  • Represent CLSA to external stakeholders and build strong community partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated passion for community service, with a high degree of compassion and empathy.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role within the non-profit sector or equivalent.
  • Post-Secondary education aligned to the needs of this position and CLSA.
  • Strong understanding of the senior services sector in Edmonton.
  • Proven experience in fundraising, financial management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • In-depth familiarity with AGLC, CRA, and Alberta Employment Standards and how they impact non-profit organizations.
