Job Title: Structural Steel Inventory Coordinator/Material Handler

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator/Material Handler to join our team at PTW Energy Services Ltd. in Calgary. As a key member of our structural steel fabrication shop, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory areas, receiving and processing shipments, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and maintain inventory areas for efficient material storage and handling.
  • Receive and process shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with purchase orders.
  • Coordinate with Production and Procurement departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Document and control aged and damaged product, tracking and reporting non-conforming items.
  • Provide team members with complete information on items short shipped, over shipped, or damaged.
  • Review daily inventory activity and update records accordingly.
  • Maintain product identification and location program, ensuring inventory meets labelling requirements.
  • Notify supervisor of irregularities and when stock reaches re-order point.
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
  • Experience with using and driving a forklift.
  • Proficiency in identifying materials by dimensions (metric and imperial).
  • Experience with proper rigging and overhead crane use an asset.
  • Reliability and dependability, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as in a team.
  • Computer literacy and previous experience working with MS Excel an asset.
Additional Requirements:
  • CSA-approved safety boots.
  • Forklift & Crane certification is an asset.
  • WHMIS certification is an asset.
  • Ability to manually lift up to 50lbs.
  • Own transportation, as location is not accessible with public transportation.
