As a Senior Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and availability of our assets, including our GO Transit Bus fleet and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply performance evaluation and prediction techniques to improve the reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety (RAMS) of our assets.
  • Develop reliability simulations and modeling to support predictions of asset replacement/maintenance and associated costs.
  • Work with asset owners to build standardized approaches around RCA, FRACAS, and FMECA methodologies/templates.
  • Consult with asset owners to investigate asset failure and develop engineering solutions to address identified areas for improvement.
  • Continuously monitor failure data and unplanned incidents to assess asset performance and recommend data-driven strategies for improvement.
  • Map and analyze failure and maintenance cost data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Add insight and reliability expertise to the development of strategies and asset life-cycle management plans for improving equipment/service reliability and process reliability.
  • Conduct reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) analysis to develop and recommend improvements to predictive and proactive maintenance programs/processes.
  • Audit and report on the overall success of reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Track reliability metrics through metrics dashboards to report reliability performance and verify continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for reliability assessment and reliability-centered maintenance.
  • Research and evaluate new and innovative predictive maintenance methodologies to improve the reliability and maintenance of assets.
  • Utilize statistical analysis (Weibull) of failure data to develop reliability models to support continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated years of progressive experience in implementing RAMS, including Reliability Centered Maintenance Programs, Risk Based Maintenance, Reliability Predictions and Analysis, and technical design and fault analysis.
  • Valid Professional Engineering (PEO) license.
