Avionic Systems Project Manager

Voyageur Aviation Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Avionic Systems Project Engineer to join our team in North Bay, Ontario. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing avionic systems for our aircraft. If you have a strong background in avionic systems engineering and excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop avionic systems, including identification of appropriate materials and joint methods
- Develop detailed designs, including engineering drawings using CAD
- Research regulatory requirements to identify affected areas and consider regulatory requirements accordingly
- Liaise with OEMs and Design Approval Representatives regarding modifications from initiation to completion
- Manage the design and certification of avionic systems designs undertaken by the company
- Mentor and develop engineering team members to meet project goals, integration requirements, and technical activities associated with electrical systems undertaken
- Develop qualification test plans, coordinate test personnel, and participate in both ground test and flight test activities
- Bachelor of Engineering from an institution accredited by a provincial or federal engineering licensing organization
- Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.)
- Transport Canada Aircraft Certification Specialty and Changed Product Rule Specialty Training or equivalent is an asset
- Eligibility for Transport Canada Aircraft Certification delegation is an asset
- 5 Years of progressive experience and a minimum of 4 years' experience as a Avionics Systems Engineer
- Excellent interpersonal skills matched with hands on approach to solving problems and strong written and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of all relevant codes, and standards such as CAR AWM 525, FAR PART 25
